Celebrate the “Compassion, Community, Caring” Of Assisted Living

September 12-18 is National Assisted Living Week and Supply360 would like to express our appreciation for our assisted living customers across the nation. We recognize the important work that you do in caring for older people and individuals with disabilities. To be entrusted with the care of another is a privilege and assisted living communities play a vital part in helping their residents remain healthy and engaged. We wish all of our customers, their residents and staff a very happy and enjoyable National Assisted Living Week!

National Assisted Living Week was established in 1995 by the National Center for Assisted Living. According to the organization, “The annual observance inspires assisted living communities around the country to offer a variety of events and activities to celebrate the individuals they serve, as well as to help educate members of the public about this distinct aspect of long term care.”

Like many health care sectors, assisted living communities have experienced immense challenges related to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, they remain committed to providing quality care and protecting their residents and staff. The theme for this year’s National Assisted Living Week is “Compassion, Community, Caring.” The theme reflects the hard work and dedication of all the caregivers in assisted living communities and highlights the importance of family and remaining connected to loved ones.

During this time, we celebrate the incredible care provided by assisted living communities, the dedication of staff, residents, and the deep connections formed in these settings, while adhering to COVID-19 safety requirements and precautions. Whether it’s been games of hallway bingo or arranging socially-distanced visits with loved ones, assisted living staff have been vital to supporting their residents and helping them thrive during difficult circumstances. These workers often were balancing their own personal challenges related to the pandemic. Yet, they persevered during a time filled with uncertainties and made a difference. Supply360 is grateful to continue to serve these communities, their staff, and their residents. We hope they continue to celebrate and cherish their uniqueness and purpose.
